The Public Prosecution announced the launch of a remote electronic filing service for personal status cases for lawyers through the Public Prosecution’s electronic portal, as part of its efforts to expand the provision of digital services and facilitate litigation procedures.
In a statement, the Public Prosecution explained that, with reference to the statement issued on August 4, 2026, regarding the launch of the remote electronic filing service for personal status cases for lawyers, it has been decided to discontinue the submission of applications to file such cases through the front offices of prosecution offices, effective September 15, 2026.
The Public Prosecution confirmed that, as of the aforementioned date, applications to file personal status cases will be submitted exclusively through the Public Prosecution’s electronic portal. It urged lawyers who are not yet registered on the electronic portal to promptly complete the registration procedures before the decision takes effect, in order to ensure continued access to the electronic filing service without interruption.
