The National Training Academy launched yesterday the activities of the “Presidential Program for Preparing Egyptian Youth for Leadership,” which aims to identify, support, and prepare outstanding young people, develop their personal, social, and leadership skills, and establish an integrated pathway for supporting talented individuals from school through university education, the labor market, entrepreneurship, and postgraduate studies.
The program comes as part of a cooperation protocol signed last month between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, and the National Training Academy. The protocol aims to implement a strategic national initiative to invest in the potential and capabilities of outstanding Egyptian youth and develop their personal, social, and leadership skills.
The program targets outstanding youth between the ages of 13 and 18 through an integrated pathway to identify, support, and prepare talented individuals. The pathway extends from school to university education, the labor market, entrepreneurship, and postgraduate studies, ensuring the development of a national pool of young talent capable of addressing future challenges.
The first cohort of the program is expected to include approximately 200 top-performing trainees from various governorates across the country. They were selected from high achievers in the General Secondary Certificate, Nile Schools, Technological Diploma programs, and STEM Schools.
The program provides an integrated system for identifying and selecting high achievers through objective assessments and precise criteria, along with specialized training tracks in personal and leadership skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and labor-market readiness. It also provides opportunities for academic and professional education and training, while connecting high-achieving participants with employment and postgraduate study opportunities.
The launch of the program marks the beginning of the implementation of one of Egypt’s ambitious national pathways for preparing and developing young people, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation, and instilling values of belonging and national identity in support of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
