The Ministry of Health and Population announced the launch of the second phase of the “Personal Skills Training” program, implemented by the National Training Academy as part of the strategic partnership between the two sides, with the participation of 1,000 newly assigned physicians at primary healthcare units.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesperson, confirmed that the program comes in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, to continue supporting healthcare providers, shift from traditional training to interactive training, and strengthen partnerships with leading institutions, thereby enhancing the efficiency of medical personnel and achieving the highest levels of quality in healthcare services.
Dr. Henady Mohamed, Head of the Medical Professions Development Sector, explained that the second phase includes in-person training for 1,000 physicians on personal skills at the Academy through a program specifically designed to meet the needs of Egypt’s healthcare sector. In addition, another 5,500 physicians will receive training in technical skills and primary healthcare activities through video-based content delivered by trainers from the Primary Healthcare and Preventive Care sectors via the Academy’s interactive e-learning platform.
Dr. Israa Abou Zeid, Director General of Training Centers, noted that the program was launched to bridge the gap between pre-graduation medical education and actual practice in the workplace, transforming it into a national program for building the capacities of physicians at the beginning of their professional careers.
Meanwhile, Dr. Nashwa Mahmoud, Director of the Technical Office and International Programs Unit, emphasized the commitment to providing communication channels with the sector and training centers to receive feedback and utilize it for continuous improvement. She stressed the importance of completing the program and applying the knowledge acquired during work.
