Cairo Gov. meets district chiefs to follow up on reconciliation matter

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber held a meeting with several district chiefs to follow up on the progress of reconciliation cases related to building violations, assess performance levels across districts, and monitor the results of the spatial change monitoring system, including detected violations and the actions taken in response.

During the meeting, Saber emphasized that reconciling building violations is at the forefront. He stressed the need for continuous monitoring of progress, the swift completion of reconciliation requests submitted by citizens, and the removal of any obstacles they encounter, all while ensuring that procedures comply with legal regulations.

Saber further emphasized the importance of immediate and decisive action in response to all detected spatial changes, as well as the necessity of taking legal measures against violations. He added that building violations must be addressed without exception, regardless of their size or location, to ensure the enforcement of the law, uphold state authority, and maintain urban order.

Moreover, Governor Saber directed that full coordination be maintained between district chiefs and the relevant departments and authorities, with strict oversight of construction activities and prompt action taken against any detected violations to prevent escalation or recurrence.

Saber also instructed that regular reports be presented on the executive status of both the reconciliation and spatial change matters, including progress rates in each district, key obstacles facing operations, and measures taken to overcome them. He emphasized the importance of swiftly addressing shortcomings and improving performance levels. This, he noted, will contribute to completing the files according to set targets and achieving urban discipline across Cairo’s districts.
