The preparatory certificate exams begin today, with two million and 28 thousand and 987 students competing in the exam marathon this year nationwide.
The educational directorates announced the completion of all necessary preparations to ensure that the exams proceed in an atmosphere of discipline and transparency. They also stressed that students should not have mobile phones, even if they are turned off, or any electronic devices, as well as headphones and electronic watches, while entering the committees to take the exams.
In a related context, technical «theoretical» diploma exams will begin next Saturday, according to the schedules announced by the Ministry for diploma students in the specializations of «agricultural, industrial, commercial, hotel, and dual education».
On the other hand, Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, stressed that developing the educational system is based on investing in the teacher by developing his capabilities and improving his professional and economic conditions, as he is the most influential element in the quality of education. This came during his meeting with Stephane Guimbert, Regional Director of the World Bank for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti, to discuss ways of joint cooperation and follow up on the results of efforts to develop education in Egypt.
