Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouli said that developing the social insurance and pension system is one of the main pillars for improving the quality of services provided to citizens and that the digitization of services and governance of work procedures contribute to improving performance efficiency and facilitating the access of pensioners and beneficiaries to their rights, thereby supporting the state's efforts in digital transformation and financial inclusion.
The primer’s remarks came during a meeting held to follow up on developments in the social insurance and pension system, in the presence of Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity; Gamal Awad, head of the National Authority for Social Insurance; and several officials.
During the meeting, the minister of social solidarity reviewed efforts to develop the system, emphasizing continued coordination among relevant authorities to ensure more efficient and accessible services to citizens.On the other hand, the head of the National Social Insurance Authority stated that the total disbursed pensions amounted to approximately 42 billion Egyptian pounds monthly, benefiting 10.2 million citizens.
In a related context, Madbouli affirmed that the state is moving with accelerated steps towards developing the subsidy system and social protection programs, ensuring that support reaches its actual beneficiaries efficiently and transparently.
This came during the Prime Minister's meeting with Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade. In line with the state's direction towards digital transformation and utilizing modern technology to develop governmental performance.
Madbouli also reviewed the executive status of the system to enhance field monitoring and improve quality of services. This was during a meeting the primer held with Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, in the presence of Dr. Saeed Helmy, head of the Integrated Local Planning and Development Sector.
