"The glorious October Victory will remain a turning point in Egypt's modern history and a symbol of its pride and dignity,” President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi tweeted, greeting the Egyptians on the 51st anniversary of the victory of the 6 October 1973 War.
“On this day, the men and leaders of the Egyptian armed forces wrote the most wonderful epics of sacrifice to restore the immaculate land of Sinai. They set a great example, backed by the support of a greater people, in steadfastness and achieving victory," El-Sisi said.
The Egyptian president added: This proved that the cohesion between the Egyptian people and the armed forces is the impregnable fortress that protects the Egyptian State throughout its history.”
Furthermore, El-Sisi conveyed his profound appreciation for the Egyptian Armed Forces, commending their steadfast dedication to protecting the nation and honoring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and their families.
This year, Egypt commemorates the 51st anniversary of its victory over Israel under the leadership of the late President El-Sadat.
