Cairo Governor honors martyrs’ families on Martyrs Day symposium

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal honored Monday the families of some of Egypt’s martyrs and named several schools in Cairo after them.
 

That came during the symposium held by the Cairo governorate to mark Martyr’s Day in recognition of their sacrifices for their country and to honor their memory.   

 

Abdel Aal asserted that it is an honor for schools to be named after the martyrs’ names who lost their lives to defend their country, stressing that Cairo always remembers and honors those heroes.

 

Abdel Aal added that the Cairo governorate would place commemorative plaques carrying martyrs’ names inside each school.

 

For his part, Major General Dr Taha El-Sayed, the Adviser of Nasser High Military Academy, commended the symposium organized by the Cairo governorate to mark Marty’s Day under the auspices of the Cairo Governor.

 

During his speech at the symposium, Dr Taha assured that the Egyptian Armed Forces remain a symbol of sacrifice, heroism, loyalty, and patriotism in defending their country.

 

The Adviser of the Command and Staff College Major General Eng. Mohammad Ibrahim Kamel, for his part, confirmed that Martyr’s Day commemorates soldiers and officers who sacrificed their lives for the safety and security of their country.

 

Eng. Mohammad added that their sacrifices would be remembered in history and the Egyptians’ memory, pointing out that countless soldiers and officers lost their lives in defence of their country since the dawn of history.
