Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber held an extended meeting to review the executive measures for Round 30 of removing encroachments on state‑owned land, which begins on August 29 and continues until November 20 in three phases. The meeting also addressed the issues of reconciliation on building violations, spatial changes, land regularization, and progress rates in these areas.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Governors Mr. Ashraf Mansour, Eng. Mona El‑Batrawi, Dr. Ahmed Anwar Ateya El‑Adl, and Mr. Omar Mahmoud El‑Shafae El‑Akrat, along with several officials from the Cairo governorate, district chiefs, and officials responsible for spatial changes and property.
Governor Saber stressed that removing encroachments on state lands is a top priority for Cairo Governorate, as it reinforces the authority of the state and ensures the law is applied equally to all.
Saber also directed the rapid meeting of the targets of Round 30, overcoming any obstacles that might delay implementation and adhering to the set timelines. He emphasized the need for a representative from the relevant authority to be present with district officials during execution until completion, with reports submitted to the system.
Moreover, Saber instructed district chiefs to coordinate with the Spatial Changes Department to monitor violations and remove them immediately, focusing on eliminating infractions at their earliest stage.
Saber further ordered firm action against all forms of encroachments, preventing their recurrence and safeguarding reclaimed lands.
Saber also urged to consistently coordinate with relevant authorities to monitor removed violations and ensure they do not return, whether under the governorate’s jurisdiction or in cooperation with other entities. He added that progress rates in these issues are a key factor in evaluating district chiefs.
Furthermore, Saber stated that the state is committed to providing all necessary facilities to regularize the status of citizens who are serious in this matter. He highlighted ongoing monitoring of the reconciliation issue to accelerate performance, track progress in each district, and evaluate results.
Saber also urged the removal of obstacles to finalize procedures, ensuring both citizens and the state obtain their rights in accordance with laws, executive regulations, and governing decisions. He directed district chiefs to simplify procedures for citizens to serve the public interest.
The governor instructed to speed up rulings on applications to legalize state property, striking a balance between safeguarding state rights and protecting citizens committed to legalizing their situations.
