The delegation of the Egyptian national football team, led by the Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, left Cairo International Airport for the Senegalese capital, Dakar as they prepare to face Senegal on Tuesday.
The Cairo airport authorities completed the procedures for the team’s departure from Terminal 4, and the delegation departed on a private Egypt Air plane.
The Egyptian team defeated its Senegalese guest 1-0, on Friday, in the first leg of the playoff round of the African qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022.
Egypt will play the return leg, on Tuesday in Dakar at seven in the evening, where a draw or loss by a goal difference is sufficient while scoring at least one goal in The Lions of Teranga to secure their place in the World Cup.
The channels that will broadcast the match of Egypt and Senegal will be ON TIME SPORTS 1 and ON TIME SPORTS 2.
Coach Queiroz summoned Al-Ahly defender Ramy Rabia, and Pyramids defender Aly Gabr, to join the Pharaohs, in preparation for the return match against Senegal on Tuesday.
The Egyptian team’s mission to Senegal includes 23 players in preparation for the 2nd leg match, and the winner of the two matches will reach the World Cup finals scheduled for the end of this year in Qatar.
