Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal received Tuesday the Governor of the Chad Capital N’Djamena Ali Haroun at his office in the Cairo governorate in the presence of Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Middle Africa Affairs Ambassador Ahmad Bakr, the Chad Ambassador to Egypt, and the Commercial Advisor of Chad Capital.
During the meeting, Abdel Aal asserted that Egypt appreciates and cherishes its friendship with chad and its brotherly people, stressing Cairo’s keenness to boost cooperation and consolidate the relations between the two cities to strengthen their friendship.
Abdel Aal also reviewed with the governor of N’Djamena the most prominent characteristic of the capital, assuring that Egypt, under the leadership of President Sisi, is always seeking to achieve comprehensive development all over the country.
Abdel Aal, furthermore, said that Cairo is implementing a large number of national and development projects, adding that Egypt has built the new Administrative Capital to alleviate the pressure on Cairo and redistribute the population. At the same time, it did not neglect to develop and preserve Cairo’s heritage. He added that the state built a new and modern road network as it is the basis of development and investment.
Moreover, Abdel Aal reviewed the state’s effort to deal with the unsafe informal settlements in Cairo, noting that the state managed to relocate the informal settlement’s residents to more decent houses.
Abdel Aal also assured that the state’s economic reform plan has contributed to implementing those development projects aiming to improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
For his part, Haroun asserted his country’s keenness to strengthen relations with Cairo and consider twinning the two capitals, hailing the mutual history and strong friendship between Egypt and Chad.
