Cairo Governor conducts inspection tour of Ezbet El-Walda in Helwan

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber conducted an inspection tour of Ezbet El-Walda in the Helwan district to follow up on the quality of services provided to residents, assess the area’s needs, and address citizens’ complaints. This tour is part of the governorate’s commitment to direct communication with the public and to enhancing service quality.

The governor was accompanied by several officials from the Cairo Governorate, as well as members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Governor Saber commenced his tour with a visit to the Ezbet El-Walda Family Health Medical Center, where he inspected the clinics, examination rooms, and various departments. He also checked on the smooth progress of work and the quality of medical services offered to citizens. He also met with several patients and visitors, listened to their opinions, and instructed staff to welcome citizens warmly, deliver medical services efficiently, and promptly address any issues visitors may face.

Saber also stated that the state places great importance on advancing the healthcare system, emphasizing that improving the quality of medical services provided to citizens comes at the forefront. This aligns with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to ensure a decent life for citizens and enhance primary services for residents.

Following this, Saber inspected a kidney center under construction, established through self-funded efforts, and called for expedited finalization of legal procedures to bring it into operation. He also visited the Family and Child Park in Ezbet El-Walda to assess its condition on-site. He added that the governorate will collaborate with the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Environment to reopen the park as a recreational space for citizens.

During the tour, Saber met with numerous citizens, heard their requests, and received several submitted petitions. He ordered the executive bodies to promptly review these matters, take the necessary steps to resolve them, and supervise their implementation. He stressed that direct engagement with citizens is a key way to identify their needs and ensure a rapid response.

Moreover, the governor instructed the chief of the Helwan district to conduct regular field inspections, intensify cleaning campaigns, remove street encroachments, improve road conditions, monitor streets’ lighting, prevent any encroachments on public roads, ensure swift responses to citizens’ complaints, and preserve the area’s civilized image.

During his tour, Saber was eager to meet Mustafa Hashem, popularly known as “Mustafa El-Prince,” who leads a volunteer initiative to beautify and clean several streets in the Masaken area of Helwan. This initiative, carried out in collaboration with local youth, involves cleaning, painting walls, and decorating them with artistic murals, reflecting spirit of belonging and enhancing the area’s civilized image.

Saber further stated that the governorate supports positive community initiatives that promote a culture of cleanliness and strengthen the values of participation and volunteerism. He emphasized that cooperation between executive bodies and citizens is a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development and improving living standards.
