Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber and Youth and Sports Minister Dr. Ashraf Sobhy inaugurated the new five-a-side football pitch at the Sawah Youth Center in the Zaiton neighborhood. They also inaugurated the development work of the New Republic Youth Center in the Rod El-Farag neighborhood, along with the adjacent event venue designated to serve the residents of Rod El-Farag.
Saber said the state and political leadership's interest in developing sporting clubs and youth centers embodies their vision of caring for youth and young people. It also reflects their effort to enhance their capabilities through activities that benefit them, make sports a way of life, and discover outstanding athletic talents to prepare them for participation in championships and competitions.
Saber added that the state is making significant efforts to provide full support for young people and enhance the quality of stadiums and sports facilities, considering them an outlet for youth to channel their creative energies positively in line with the aspirations of the new republic and Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030.
Moreover, Saber stated that the Cairo Governorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all state authorities, strives to provide all sports, medical, cultural, and social services to citizens, noting that the governorate spares no effort in supporting youth and providing sports facilities, as well as establishing and developing youth centers in various neighborhoods across the capital.
The governor was accompanied by Deputy Cairo Governor Hossam El-Din Fawzy, Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate Dr. Ahmad Abdel Wakil, Head of the Central Department of Youth Centers, several officials of Cairo governorate, and members of the House of Representatives and Senate.
