Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal announced that the biggest sporting event, “Cairo Marathon,” would be held in Cairo next Friday morning as part of Cairo’s 1045 National Day anniversary celebrations, noting that it would include running and bike races.
Abdel Aal added that the marathon would start from Yasser Rezq Axis, passing through Taha Hussein Bridge to the Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
Moreover, Abdel Aal said that the marathon route was chosen to encourage Egyptian youth to practice sports and introduce them to Egyptian state’s greatest achievements implemented in record time.
They will also see the unique engineering construction of the Taha Hussein Bridge built in just 9 months of continuous work.
