Minister of Education and Technical Education Reda Hegazi and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inaugurated Sunday the “Ahlan Madrasty” school fair organized by Cairo’s Education Directorate in the Nasr City neighborhood.
Following the inauguration ceremony, Hegazi and Abdel Aal inspected the sections of the fair, which included all kinds of school supplies and items for different stages of education, as well as school uniforms and some students’ wooden and fabric works.
During the ceremony, Hegazi praised the great efforts made by students who participated in the fair and the quality of products, noting that the fair aims to alleviate the burdens on parents as it offers all school stationery and supplies at affordable prices.
During his tour, Hegazi also spoke with students and parents about the quality of the products’ materials, and they hailed their high quality.
For his part, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal said that “Ahlan Madrasty” fair supports productive schools and ease burdens on parents. It also aims to offer exhibitions for students’ handicrafts to encourage them on entrepreneurship.
Moreover, Abdel Aal asserted that the fair reflects the Ministry of Education and Technical Education’s interest in transforming schools into a productive unit, instilling students the value of respecting work, equipping then with technical skills to qualify them for labor market, encouraging them to start small enterprises, and training them on how to deal with trader and consumer through marketing their products. It also increases students’ sense of belonging to their schools.
Attended the inauguration ceremony were Deputy Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Director of Education Directorate Ayman Mousa, the Chairman of the Council of Trustees, Parents, and Teachers Dr. Abdel Raaouf Allam, Chief of Nasr City district Mohammad Medht, Director of the General Department of Productive Families Emad Mansour.
