Cairo Governor casts ballot in 2024 presidential election

Among a high voter turnout on the first day of the Egyptian presidential 2024 held from 10- 12 December, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal cast his ballot at the Azhar Girl’s Institute’s polling station in Heliopolis.

During his voting, Abdel Aal said that the central operations room established by the Cairo governorate to coordinate and communicate with all concerned authorities is following up on the voting process across Cairo, noting that all polling stations opened their doors to voters without any obstacles.

After casting his ballot, Abdel Aal stressed the importance of participating in the election as it is a national duty and constitutional right. He added that voting in the election sends a message to the world that Egypt is taking steady steps towards progress in all fields.

Moreover, Abdel Aal commended Egyptians for their active participation and high turnout on the first day of the election, which reflects their awareness of their constitutional rights and their belief in their positive role in achieving democracy.

Abdel Aal furthermore asserted the active role of the governorate’s executive bodies in providing support and facilitating the voting process in coordination with relevant authorities. They also provide logistic support following regulations set by the National Election Authority.
