Cairo Governor follows up removal of encroachments on Nile River

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal stressed Wednesday the necessity of forming an operations room between members of the House of Representatives, districts’ chiefs, and Cairo governorate’s Spatial Variables Department to receive data on the removal of encroachments on state-owned lands and monitor cases of encroachments and remove them instantly.

That came during the meeting held by the governor to follow up on the removal of encroachments on state property and spatial variables across Cairo in the presence of Deputies Cairo Governor for Cairo’s four areas, Assistant Secretary-General, and Deputy Minister of Irrigation at the Cairo governorate.

During the meeting, Abdel Aal also stressed the necessity of protecting state property, the Nile River stream, and reclaiming state-owned lands, pointing out that 125 cases of encroachments have been removed so far.
