Cairo Governor asserts support for granite and marble industry workers

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal confirmed Sunday that the state provided all facilities for workers at granite and marble factories and workshops in the Shaq El-Thoaban area in cooperation with several national banks to help legalize their business and improve the investment climate in the area.

Abdel Aal’s remarks came during the periodic meeting held by the Cairo governorate to follow up on the ongoing development of the Shaq El-Thoaban area in the presence of Deputy Chief of Chamber of Building Materials Industries at the Federation of Egyptian Industries Eng. Sayed Abaza, Director of Housing and Utility Directorate, officials of electricity, water, and sanitation companies, Cairo Utility Data Centre, Head of the Shaq El-Thoaban Project, and Chief of Tora district.

Moreover, Abdel Aal asserted that all legal actions would be taken against the owners of factories and workshops who did not complete contracting procedures with utility companies.

The governor also pointed out that the Cairo Utility Data Centre surveyed all activities and lands in the Shaq Thoaban area and put the data in an electronic survey unit, the first of its kind in that famous industrial zone.
