Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal witnesses the Asmarat Football League Final match at the open stadium of Al-Asmarat Housing Project 3 organized by the Cairo governorate during the mid-term vacation.
At the end of the match, Abdel Aal distributed medals and cups to the winning teams in the presence of the Executive Director of the Urban Development Fund Eng. Khaled Sediq, Deputies Cairo Governor Eng. Ibrahim Saber and Jihan Abdel Moneim, Assistant Secretary-General Ibrahim Awad, Director of Youth and Sports Directorate Dr. Sayed Hazeen, and heads of new cities.
Moreover, Abdel Aal asserted that eradicating informal settlements is one of the mega projects that reflects the state and political leadership’s keenness to provide decent life and a healthy environment to citizens. He added that the state’s interest in creating a full-service community for the residents of those informal settlements became a reality.
The tournament organized by the Cairo governorate during the mid-term vacation included two-stage football competitions between the young people of the new housing projects sporting clubs.
