Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal made an inspection tour of new road axes in East Cairo on Sunday, like Al-Fariq Mohammad Al-Assar axis located between Ain Shams and Al-Mataria areas and serves the Holy Family path toward Al-Mataria Obelisk and Virgin Mary Tree site.
During his tour, Abdel Aal also inspected the ongoing development work in the area, including upgrading Cablaat Street and landscaping the surrounding area to be more attractive and inconsistent with the nature of the place.
Moreover, the governor followed up on the removal of inconsistencies of the Jihan El-Sadat road axis on El-Khalifa El-Zaher Street, which links East and South Cairo.
The governor also met with the officials of the new waste management company, which is responsible for garbage collection and disposal in Eastern Cairo, while they were conducting an awareness campaign in the area.
Furthermore, Abdel Aal inspected the Adly Mansour axis in Mataria district and followed up on the work of Cairo's utility companies which began to install new water and sewer lines and upgrade the electricity network.
The state's authorities are currently constructing the Adly Mansour road axis in East Cairo as part of the state's plan to upgrade roads and create new arteries across Cairo to solve traffic problems and save time.
The new Adly Mansour axis links the Nozha, Salam, Ain Shams, Mataria districts to the Shubra-Banha Freeway.
