Under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal accompanied by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Irrigation Dr. Mohammad Abdel Aaty, Minister of Manpower Dr. Mohammad Saafan, Minister of Supply Dr. Ali Mosilhy, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Alaa El-Din Fouad witnessed Saturday the inauguration of the 28th International Quran Recitation Competition.
The 28th competition is held from 11 December to 15 December, and the value of the prize is one million and one thousand Egyptian pounds. The competition is part of Egypt's leadership in serving the Holy Quran and spreading moderate religious ideology.
The 28th Quran Competition includes four categories. The first category is memorizing the Holy Quran with Tajweed and Tarteel rules for Arabic speakers. The second category is memorizing the Holy Quran with Tajweed for non-Arabic speakers, and the third one is memorizing the Holy Quran for only Egyptians with special needs. The fourth is memorizing the Holy Quran with Tajweed for young Egyptians.
