Cairo Governor Major-General Khaled Abdel Aal cast his ballot in the senate elections at Al-Maahad Al-Azhari School in Masr El-Gadidah area.
The governor also pointed out that a central operations room was formed at the Cairo governorate to coordinate with all relevant authorities to prepare polling stations to receive voters across Cairo.
After voting, the governor stressed the importance of participating in the elections because it is a national duty of every Egyptian man and woman. He added that it is an opportunity to send a message to the world that Egypt is moving at a steady pace on the path of progress in all fields.
He also noted that the Cairo governorate’s role in the senate elections is restricted to the preparations of polling stations and providing logistic support to relevant authorities as well as providing all comfort means to voters.
