Governor Saber stated that preserving traditional crafts is a vital aspect of Egyptian identity and culture. He emphasized that supporting artisans and small business owners, as well as opening new outlets to market their products, contributes to the sustainability of these crafts, ensuring their preservation and transmission to future generations.

Saber further stated that a permanent venue for showcasing Upper Egypt’s traditional crafts will be established, emphasizing that these crafts are not merely products for display and sale but represent a vital part of Egypt’s collective memory and identity.  He added that economically empowering artisans and providing genuine opportunities to market their products help protect this heritage and ensure its sustainability.

Saber added that hosting such events in Cairo enables citizens to discover the unique products, crafts, and traditional arts of Upper Egypt, while also opening new opportunities for artisans and women entrepreneurs to access wider markets and promote their work.

The “Bazar S’aid Misr” showcases traditional crafts, handmade products, and artisanal works from 10 governorates of Upper Egypt, reflecting the cultural and heritage diversity of the southern cities. It offers artisans and owners of production projects opportunities to promote and market their products to a wider audience.

The bazaar also features production groups led by women and entrepreneurs, alongside products from craft complexes affiliated with the Upper Egypt Development Authority in participating governorates. This initiative reinforces efforts to support women economically and promote small businesses and handicrafts.

The “Bazar S’aid Misr” serves as a platform that combines authentic heritage with opportunities for marketing and economic development. It supports artisans and producers while contributing to the preservation of Upper Egypt’s cultural legacy. The bazaar is planned to continue as a permanent outlet for showcasing and marketing products from the cities of Upper Egypt.
