Health Ministry reassures citizens: Highest quality standards applied during blood donation

The Ministry of Health and Population affirmed the safety of blood donation procedures at its blood banks and donation centers, emphasizing the implementation of the highest standards of quality and infection control to ensure the protection and well-being of donors throughout every stage of the donation process.

This message appeared in an awareness publication released by the Ministry on its official social media pages under the slogan: “Rest assured… there is no risk of infection transmission during blood donation.” The publication is part of ongoing efforts to promote a culture of blood donation and encourage citizens to help support blood bank reserves and save the lives of patients and the injured.

The Ministry of Health and Population explained that the blood donation system relies on strict preventive measures to ensure donor safety. Single-use donation tools are used for each donor individually and are disposed of safely and immediately after the donation process, thereby completely eliminating any possibility of infection or disease transmission among donors.

The Ministry of Health and Population emphasized that blood donation is one of the most important expressions of human solidarity, as it provides vital support to patients, accident victims, cancer patients, and those requiring urgent surgical interventions or regular blood transfusions. The Ministry stressed that every unit of donated blood can help save a human life.

The Ministry of Health and Population urged citizens who wish to donate blood or inquire about donation requirements and service locations to contact the blood bank hotline at 15366 or follow the Ministry’s official platforms for updated information and guidance.

The Ministry of Health and Population reaffirmed its commitment to raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and to strengthening confidence in the national blood bank system. This effort ensures the provision of a safe and sustainable blood supply that meets the needs of patients nationwide.
