Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, announced that the Fund for Supporting Projects of NGOs and Civil Society Organizations has launched the “Bokra El Madrasa” platform to receive and register the preferences of students participating in the “Bokra El Madrasa… El Kheir Fi Masr” initiative. The initiative was established by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in cooperation and partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation and the Fund for Supporting Projects of NGOs and Civil Society Organizations, as part of preparations for the new 2026/2027 academic year and efforts to provide school supplies to students across various governorates.
The “Bokra El Madrasa… El Kheir Fi Masr” initiative aims to support students from financially vulnerable families by providing a comprehensive schoolbag containing educational tools and supplies for primary and preparatory school students. This is intended to ease financial burdens and help students start the new academic year on a better footing.
The initiative is open to primary and preparatory school students from financially vulnerable families or those near the poverty line, children of beneficiaries of the “Takaful and Karama” conditional cash support program, orphans—whether living in care homes, with foster families, or under legal guardianship—and students with disabilities enrolled in education.
Key eligibility requirements include being enrolled in a primary or preparatory school for the 2026/2027 academic year. Applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, with a maximum of two students per parent. Students must not have received similar educational-supplies support for the same academic year from the ministry or any other entity. Both the student and parent or guardian must be Egyptian citizens, and applicants must undergo an approved case review and assessment.
The ministry clarified that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Approval is subject to meeting the eligibility requirements, passing the review process, and the availability of funding.
Applications must be submitted exclusively through the platform by a parent or legal guardian. Applicants’ data will be linked to their national ID numbers and cross-checked against verification databases available to the relevant authorities.
The platform allows applicants to track their application status electronically, which may be listed as “Under Review,” “Additional Documents Required,” “Accepted,” or “Rejected.”
Parents or legal guardians must upload the required documents in accordance with the platform’s requirements, including: the parent’s ID card (front and back), the student’s ID card or birth certificate for students under 15, documentation of social status as applicable, the student’s 2025/2026 academic success certificate, a guardianship document for orphaned students, and any additional documents requested by the reviewing authority.
Applications will be reviewed and approved by the competent authority. Submission does not constitute final acceptance. Applicants, in their capacity as parents or legal guardians, must certify that all submitted information and documents are accurate and up to date, cooperate with the review procedures, collect the schoolbag at the specified time and location, and ensure the student regularly attends school.
The organizing authority reserves the right to request additional documents or reassess applications. If fraud or concealment of material information is discovered, the application may be rejected or the beneficiary’s support may be canceled, with the assistance recovered and necessary legal action taken.
