Cairo Governor lays wreath at Military Zone Martyr Tombs

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, accompanied by Commander of the central Military Zone Staff Maj. Gen. Hatem Zaharan and First Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Cairo Security Directorate Maj. Gen. Ashraf El-Gendy, laid a wreath at the Military Zone martyr tombs in Al-Khafir area and recited Surat Al-Fatiha for their pure souls in commemoration of the 53th anniversary of 1973 October War victory.

Governor Saber stated that the 6th of October War will remain a testament to the strong Egyptian will and steadfastness, as well as the heroic actions of Egypt’s brave armed forces officers in protecting the unity of their land and the dignity and pride of the Egyptian people. He added that the Egyptian Armed Forces will always be a shield and sword for our country in times of war and a forearm for building and development in times of peace.

Saber further said that the epic of the crossing of the Suez Canal and breaking the Bar Lev Line will remain a source of pride and honor, commemorating the heroism of men who uphold the values of sacrifice and dedication in service of the nation’s progress.
