Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, decided to lower the minimum admission scores for technical education schools (industrial, commercial, hotel, and agricultural) for the 2026/2027 academic year in schools that have available vacancies.
Dr. Hemat Abu Kila, Director of the Cairo Directorate of Education, confirmed that the scores were lowered after reviewing the available places in schools while maintaining appropriate classroom densities to ensure that the educational process is not affected.
The Governor also decided to lower the minimum admission score for general secondary schools for the 2026/2027 academic year from 225 to 220 marks, with admission to service classes requiring 40 marks lower than general secondary schools.
Dr. Hemat Abu Kila stated that the reduction was made after a thorough study of student numbers while maintaining suitable classroom densities to avoid affecting the progress of the educational process.
