Cairo Gov.: Relocation of seven families affected by Manshiyat Nasser building collapse

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber announced that the governorate's executive bodies have begun relocating the seven families affected by the collapse of the building on Abdel Tawab Alley, off El-Damarani Street in the Manshiyat Nasser neighborhood. The families are being moved to alternative housing units in 15th May City. Buses and cars have been provided to transport the families and their belongings to their new homes, which have been fully furnished and equipped with essential appliances and necessary food supplies.

Governor Saber ordered that the housing units be finished quickly and equipped with all necessary essentials, guaranteeing decent and secure living conditions for the families. He also directed them to deliver full social and humanitarian support until they stabilize their conditions.

Moreover, Saber emphasized that the governorate’s executive bodies are working around the clock to address the aftermath of the incident, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership to provide comprehensive care for citizens. He stressed the ongoing monitoring of the affected families’ situations and the fulfillment of their needs in coordination with all relevant authorities.

Following the incident, Saber directed that seven families from the collapsed building be relocated to housing units in 15th May City. Additionally, an engineering committee was formed to inspect the collapsed building and neighboring properties to assess the extent of any damage and to implement all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens.
