Sunday, the General Secondary School Completion Certificate exams for the academic year 2025/2026 will begin, as students will take, on the first day of the exams, the subjects not added to the total, according to the schedule approved by the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, amid intensive preparations and strict organizational and security measures to ensure the regularity of the exams nationwide.The number of students taking the high school exams this year is 921,709 male and female students in the new and old systems, including 918,306 students in the new system and 3,403 students in the old system, distributed among 2,032 examination committees within 613 examination complexes nationwide.
On Sunday, June 21, students will take the religious education exam from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the national education exam from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
According to the announced schedule, students will take the second foreign language exam on Tuesday, June 23, and the Arabic language exam on Sunday, June 28. Students from the Science and Mathematics Department will take the Chemistry exam on Thursday, July 2, while students from the Literature Department will take the Geography exam on the same day.
On Sunday, July 5, students will take their first foreign language exam, then science and mathematics students will take their physics exam, and literature students will take their history exam on Thursday, July 9.
Sunday, July 12, will witness the pure mathematics exam for mathematics students, while on Thursday, July 16, mathematics students will take the applied mathematics exam and the biology exam for science students, and literary students will take the statistics exam, thus concluding the high school exams.
The Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, held an extensive meeting with the directors of the educational directorates to follow up on the final preparations for the exams, stressing that the discipline of the high school exam system represents a national responsibility that requires the combined efforts of all concerned parties, and that the ministry aims to achieve the highest levels of discipline within the committees, while providing full support to the educational leaders to implement the procedures regulating the exams firmly.
The Minister stressed the need not to tolerate any violation or negligence that may affect the regularity of the exams, directing the tightening of inspection procedures before entering the committees and preventing the bringing of mobile phones or any electronic means that could be used in cheating, in addition to intensifying follow-up work within the committees, and allocating independent entrances and exits for each committee within the exam complexes to facilitate inspection procedures and the entry and exit of students.
He also stressed the need to evacuate the committees immediately after the end of the exam and not allow any student to remain inside or around the committee, while tightening procedures for securing question distribution centers and transmission lines to the committees, and ensuring the availability of concept books for all subjects within the exam committees.
The Minister confirmed earlier that this year's high school exams will be at the level of the average student, with a percentage of questions allocated to measure the thinking skills and excellence of outstanding students, noting the continued coordination with the relevant authorities to confront electronic cheating and disruption of the course of exams, and to apply the latest means of oversight and insurance.
As part of supporting those in charge of examination work, the Minister of Education approved the disbursement of a reward incentive to committee heads and first observers in the amount of two thousand pounds each, and one thousand pounds to observers participating in the high school exams, in appreciation of the efforts made to make the examination system a success.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education confirms its full readiness for the launch of exams, while continuing to monitor the progress of work within the committees on a regular basis, ensuring a safe and disciplined exam environment that achieves the principle of equal opportunities for all students.
