Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, attended the celebration organized by the Hajj and Umrah Committee of the Journalists’ Syndicate on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday. The celebration included the distribution of a number of free Umrah trips to several journalists. The event was attended by Khaled El-Balshy, Head of the Journalists’ Syndicate; Gamal Abdel Rahim, Secretary-General of the Syndicate; and Mohamed El-Shazly, Chairman of the Syndicate’s Committees for Arab and Foreign Affairs and Hajj and Umrah.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, affirmed that the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday represents an occasion to recall the human values embodied in the life and teachings of the Noble Prophet, foremost among them mercy, justice, compassion, solidarity, respect for human dignity, and extending a helping hand to those in need.
The Governor of Cairo noted that the life of the Noble Prophet provided a living example of transforming values into behavior and responsibility toward society and humanity. He emphasized that commemorating the Prophet’s Birthday should not be limited to speaking about these values, but should also involve working to ensure that they remain present in the lives of citizens and within society.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Journalists’ Syndicate, describing it as one of the most important institutions of the Egyptian press. He praised the Syndicate’s efforts to defend the profession and the rights of its members, as well as its role in caring for the journalistic community and strengthening human and social bonds among its members.
The Governor of Cairo also extended his sincere appreciation to the Journalists’ Syndicate Board and the Hajj and Umrah Committee for their dedicated efforts to serve their fellow journalists and for their commitment to ensuring that the Syndicate remains a space that brings members of the profession together around work-related issues and human values that strengthen the spirit of a united family among them.
The Governor affirmed that Cairo Governorate values its cooperation and coordination with the Journalists’ Syndicate and is keen to support its events and initiatives, believing that partnership between state institutions, professional syndicates, and community organizations represents a fundamental pillar in serving citizens and strengthening communication within society.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber added that Cairo Governorate is committed to supporting every event aimed at serving the journalistic community and providing the necessary support for initiatives that contribute to strengthening solidarity among Syndicate members and promoting a culture of participation and communication. He emphasized that respecting people and standing by them represents the essence of any successful community-based effort.
The Governor of Cairo stressed his great appreciation for the national role played by the Egyptian press in raising public awareness, serving society, conveying facts, discussing national issues, and contributing to shaping the consciousness of successive generations. He emphasized that supporting and caring for members of the profession represents support for the national mission they carry.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Governor of Cairo extended his congratulations to the Head of the Journalists’ Syndicate, the members of the Syndicate Board, and all male and female journalists on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday, praying to God to bring this blessed occasion back to Egypt and its people with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.
He also congratulated the journalists who will perform Umrah, wishing them a blessed journey, an accepted Umrah, and a righteous and rewarded pilgrimage.
