Students following the new General Secondary Education system will conclude their final examinations today, Science–Mathematics students will take the Applied Mathematics exam, Literary students will sit for the Statistics exam, and Science–Biology students will take the Biology exam.
Meanwhile, students under the old system will sit for the Geology exam (Science–Biology track), the Statics exam (Science–Mathematics track), and the Philosophy exam (Literary track). Students at schools for the visually impaired under the new system will also take the Statistics exam.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education emphasized that all examination procedures and regulations will remain in effect until the final day of testing. The ministry's central operations room will continue monitoring the examination process and coordinating with local education directorates to address any issues immediately, ensuring the smooth operation of examination committees and providing an appropriate testing environment for students.
With the conclusion of the examinations, grading committees will proceed with marking papers and recording and compiling scores. The results will then undergo a final review before the 2026 General Secondary Education Examination results are approved by Minister of Education and Technical Education Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, after which they will be officially announced and made available to students.
