Cairo Governor Attends October Victory Anniversary Celebration at Rod El Farag Culture Palace

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, attended a celebration marking the 53rd anniversary of the October Victories at the Rod El Farag Culture Palace. The event was also attended by Major General Omar Mahmoud El Shafey, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the Northern District; Brigadier General Staff Zaki Atef El Geyar, Military Advisor to Cairo Governorate; along with several governorate officials and members of the House of Representatives and Senate.

The Cairo Governor emphasized that the anniversary of the October Victories remains a historic national occasion from which generations draw values of pride, belonging, and sacrifice. He noted that the achievements of the Egyptian Armed Forces in October 1973 are a source of pride for all Egyptians and demonstrate the ability of the Egyptian people and national institutions to confront challenges and achieve progress.

The Cairo Governor also highlighted the importance of introducing younger generations to their country’s history and the achievements of the Armed Forces, while reinforcing values of loyalty, belonging, and working to preserve the nation’s gains and continue its development journey.

The celebration included a seminar highlighting the heroes of the October War, artistic performances, and several patriotic songs. The event concluded with the honoring of a number of martyrs’ families.
