Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber has approved the timetable for the second round of examinations for the 2025–2026 academic year, which will be held from July 18 to July 30, 2026.
The director of the Cairo Directorate of Education announced that exams for first- and second-year secondary students and for those transferring into technical education will run from Saturday, July 18, to Wednesday, July 22. Third-grade primary students and their equivalents will be tested from Saturday, July 18, to Monday, July 20. Fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade primary students and their equivalents will sit exams from Saturday, July 18, to Wednesday, July 22.
Third-year preparatory students (including sports-track third-year preparatory students, their equivalents, and final-year vocational preparatory students) will also be examined during July 18–22. Exams for general preparatory students, sports preparatory students, students with hearing or visual impairments, and vocational preparatory students are scheduled for Saturday, July 25, through Thursday, July 30.
Director Abu Keila added that examinations will not be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
