The Ministry of Awqaf has announced the opening of applications for free master’s and PhD scholarships for imams, female preachers, and ministry employees, in cooperation with the Institute of Afro-Asian Studies for Graduate Studies at Suez Canal University, as part of the “A New Beginning for Human Development” initiative and in support of academic achievement and the development of knowledge and skills.
The ministry explained that the scholarship costs will be jointly funded by the Ministry of Awqaf and the Institute of Afro-Asian Studies for Graduate Studies at Suez Canal University, with each party covering half of the expenses. The funding will cover tuition fees without imposing any financial burden on researchers throughout their studies, provided they continue their studies without failing or being absent in any academic year.
The ministry added that if a researcher fails to complete any academic year successfully, they will be responsible for paying their own study expenses in subsequent years. The Ministry of Awqaf has made the scholarship details and registration procedures available on its official website.
