LE 100,000 found under rubble of Manshiyat Nasser collapsed building

During the removal of rubble from the collapsed building in Manshiyat Nasser, the executive bodies of Cairo Governorate discovered a sum of 100,000 Egyptian pounds. It was revealed to be the savings from a “community fund” belonging to a bride who had lost her bridal home furnishings and belongings in the debris.

The executive bodies promptly returned the money to its rightful owner after verifying her identity, in accordance with their commitment to restore property to its owners. The bride explained that the money had been stored inside her refrigerator at home, which helped preserve it despite the fire and the building's collapse.

This effort is part of the Cairo Governorate’s executive bodies’ response to the incident’s aftermath, which included providing necessary support to the affected families. These families were relocated to alternative housing units in May 15 City and supplied with essential needs.

Moreover, Governor Saber provided the bride, who had lost her household furnishings, a complete set of home furnishings, while the governorate’s executive bodies continue to return all belongings found to their rightful owners.
