The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects Monday, August 10, 2026, to bring warm and humid weather in the early morning, extremely hot and humid conditions across most parts of the country during the daytime, hot and humid weather along the northern coasts, and warm and humid conditions at night.

The Meteorological Authority expects temperatures to begin rising during this period, with a new intense heat wave affecting the country from Monday through the end of the week.

Mist is also expected to form from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. on some roads leading to and from the northern parts of the country, extending to Greater Cairo, the Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. The mist may be dense at times on some roads.

Winds are expected to become active intermittently from Wednesday, August 12, through Friday, August 14, over South Sinai and southern parts of the country.

The Meteorological Authority noted that high humidity levels will increase the perceived temperature by 2 to 4°C above the expected temperature in the shade.

In Cairo, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 25°C today.
