Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli visited Head of the Coptic Orthodox Church Pope Tawadros II at the Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo to extend Christmas greetings.
During the visit, Madbouli conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Pope Tawadros II and all Egyptian Christians at home and abroad, wishing them blessings and prosperity.
The prime minister also expressed appreciation for the national and societal role fulfilled by the Coptic Orthodox Church, under the leadership of Pope Tawadros II, in promoting citizenship principles and fostering unity and brotherhood among all Egyptians.
He highlighted that occasions, such as Christmas serve as a valuable opportunity to strengthen bonds of love and cohesion within the nation.
Pope Tawadros II thanked Madbouli for the visit, emphasizing that it reflects the deep fraternal ties and the spirit of love among all Egyptians.
The pope expressed hope for a happy and prosperous New Year for all citizens and for the country.
He praised the state’s ongoing efforts under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi across various sectors and commended the government’s focus on healthcare and education as central pillars of human development.
