Egypt to introduce programming and AI curriculum for technical education

Egypt plans to introduce a programming and artificial intelligence curriculum for technical education students, including access to the QUREO platform for coding and AI learning.

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved authorizing the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to contract with the Japanese company Sprix to implement the move.

The initiative comes as part of Egypt’s efforts to ensure that technical education students receive programming and AI instruction on par with general education students, the Cabinet said in a statement.

The move will also equip these students with the advanced and foundational digital skills required by the modern labor market.

According to the Cabinet, the program aims to introduce students to AI-supported programming techniques, data-driven problem-solving, and independent technological project design and implementation.
