In a significant move to elevate professional standards and service quality, the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced a new partnership aimed at developing the skills of employees at Egyptian airports.
The partnership, a cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation and the Egyptian Academy of Aviation Sciences, was signed at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The initiative is a cornerstone of the ministry’s strategy to invest in human capital as a fundamental pillar for the sector’s advancement.
The protocol was officially signed by Eng. Ayman Fawzy Arab, Chairman and Executive Managing Director of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, and Pilot Ezzat Metwally, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Academy of Aviation Sciences, with Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, witnessing the ceremony.
The primary objective of the protocol is to establish joint cooperation in training and professional development.
This includes creating and implementing specialized training programs designed to qualify and enhance the skills of staff across Egyptian airports and their affiliated companies.
These programs will adhere to the latest standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the regulations of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
El-Hefny underscored the importance of the agreement, stating, “This cooperation reflects the ministry’s commitment to investing in our human resources. Continuous training and skill development directly contribute to raising the efficiency of institutional performance and ensuring the highest levels of quality in the services we provide.”
He added that this approach is crucial for supporting the state’s sustainable development plans within this vital sector.
Arab echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the protocol’s role in modernizing the training system. “Investing in our workforce is the cornerstone for improving passenger services and enhancing operational efficiency,” he said.
Arab also noted that this partnership will enable the implementation of cutting-edge training programs, ensuring that personnel are well-equipped to keep pace with rapid developments in the air transport industry.
For his part, Pilot Metwally expressed his pride in the collaboration, stressing the academy’s ongoing commitment as a premier scientific institution for aviation education and training.
He highlighted that the protocol marks a new chapter in their co-operation with the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, paving the way for advanced training programs that will equip a new generation of professionals to meet contemporary operational demands.
