FM praises strategic relations with France

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised the strategic relations between Egypt and France during a meeting with Advisor to the French President for Middle East and North Africa Affairs Anne-Claire Legendre.

During the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum in the UAE, Abdelatty expressed aspiration for enhanced economic and commercial cooperation and an increase in French investments in Egypt.

He affirmed keenness to boost cooperation in various sectors, primarily industry, transport, tourism, culture, and education.

The top Egyptian diplomat welcomed the forthcoming first round of the strategic dialogue between the Egyptian and French foreign ministries.

Regarding developments in the Palestinian cause, the foreign minister welcomed France’s support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

Abdelatty highlighted Egypt’s ongoing efforts to consolidate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of ensuring safe and unhindered access of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip amid the worsening humanitarian conditions.

He stressed the importance of creating a political horizon to reach a just and sustainable settlement of the Palestinian issue through the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian State.
