Electioneering for Egypt’s 2025 parliament seats to end next Thursday

Electioneering for the 2025 House of Representatives (the lower house of the parliament) seats will end on Thursday, November 6, to be followed by the voting silence, according to the timetable released by the National Elections Authority on October 4.

A total of 2,826 candidates has submitted applications for the 2025 Egyptian House of Representatives elections, including those running under the individual system and those on party lists, announced the National Election Authority.

The party lists include: the National List for Egypt, the Generation List, the Popular List of Your Voice for Egypt, and the Egypt's Call List.

Egypt's parliamentary elections will be held abroad on November 7 and 8, and domestically on November 10 and 11, announced the National Elections Authority in a press conference on Saturday.

Voting in Egypt’s 2025 parliamentary elections will be conducted in two phases to cover all 27 governorates. The first phase will take place in 14 governorates, including Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, the New Valley, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, the Red Sea, Alexandria, Beheira, and Matrouh.

Meanwhile, the second phase will include the following 13 governorates: Cairo, Qalyoubia, Daqahlia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Kafr El-Sehikh, Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai.
