Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Dr. Sameh El-Hefny received Ambassador Holger Martinsen, the Argentine Ambassador to Egypt, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of air transport, as well as discuss studying the possibility of operating direct flights between Egypt and Argentina.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Civil Aviation welcomed the Argentine Ambassador, praising the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing that the Ministry of Civil Aviation is keen to expand the horizons of cooperation with all countries of the world.
During the meeting, the minister said that Argentina is one of the most important partners to Egypt in the continent of South America.
El-Hefny also explained the importance of coordination regarding the development of air transport movement between Egypt and Argentina, which will have a great impact on activating air and tourism movement between the two countries, in order to achieve the desired common interests for the benefit of the two peoples.
For his part, the Argentine Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, stressing his country's aspiration to strengthen relations of cooperation and permanent coordination with the Egyptian side in various fields, including the field of civil aviation, due to its pivotal and effective role in supporting economic and tourism relations between the two countries.
