Egypt, Tunisia PMs discuss strengthening bilateral ties

Egypt’s Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli met with Tunisian counterpart Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri on the sidelines of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in Spain.

During the meeting, both sides discussed preparations for the upcoming session of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee, set to be held in Cairo in September, and agreed to organize a joint business forum to boost trade and investment ties.

Madbouli reaffirmed Egypt’s support for Tunisia’s reform efforts under President Kais Saied and expressed confidence in Tunisia’s ability to achieve stability and development.

Prime Minister Madbouli also highlighted the alignment between the two countries’ leaderships on regional and international issues.

For her part, Zaafrani praised Egypt’s recent development achievements and expressed support for its role in the Palestinian cause.
