Egypt’s Ambassador in Budapest Ahmed Fahmy emphasized commitment to expanding development cooperation with Hungary during a meeting with Hungarian Minister for Regional Development Tibor Navracsics.
The two officials discussed enhancing collaboration in local development and governance, including sharing expertise in regional planning, infrastructure, and strengthening local administrations, according to a statement released by the foreign ministry in Cairo.
Fahmy highlighted opportunities for Hungarian companies to participate in major Egyptian development projects, particularly in infrastructure, urban and rural development, and public services.
Navracsics expressed Hungary’s appreciation for growing ties with Egypt and readiness to exchange expertise, utilize European funding mechanisms, and promote city and municipal partnerships to strengthen bilateral relations.
