Egypt gears up for International Research Commercialization Expo 2025

Egypt will open the International Research Commercialization Expo (IRC Expo 2025) on 11–12 December under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly is scheduled to inaugurate the event, which will be hosted at St. Regis Hotel in the New Administrative Capital.

The annual expo, the largest of its kind in the region, aims to link scientific research with industry, innovation, and entrepreneurship, serving as a strategic platform for research commercialization, technology transfer, and industry collaboration.

Themed “Market the Mind – How Research Drives Economic Growth,” the 2025 expo aims to foster collaboration among academia, industry, and investors to advance the commercialization of scientific innovations.

IRC Expo 2025 will bring together researchers, entrepreneurs, and industrial players under one roof, offering specialized discussions and workshops on funding mechanisms and technology marketing, supporting sustainable development and the shift toward a knowledge-based economy.

Partners this year include the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC) to foster regional collaboration and the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA), which aims to facilitate commercialization of research outputs.

The European Union will also be a global partner that will help strengthen ties with European innovation networks, while the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) will provide a scientific knowledge base to support researchers and innovators.
