The Egyptian Ambassador to the Bulgarian capital Sofia, Nader Saad, has discussed in a meeting with Bulgarian Interior Minister Daniel Mitov, cooperation between Egypt and the EU in the migration field.
Mitov said Bulgaria welcomes coordination with Egypt to send skilled Egyptian workers needed by the Bulgarian labor market and open the door to legal migration, while continuing the efforts to combat illegal migration.
The meeting took up Egypt’s endeavors to de-escalate the situation in the Gaza Strip and the dire humanitarian consequences after resuming Israeli attacks on the Palestinian enclave.
The Egyptian ambassador posted the Bulgarian interior minister on the Egypt-crafted Gaza reconstruction plan, underlining the need to support this plan by the international community after reaching a ceasefire as soon as possible.
