Cold mornings, chilly nights forecast across Egypt this week

Egypt is set to experience cold early mornings, mild daytime temperatures, and chilly nights from Sunday through Thursday, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Light to moderate rainfall is expected at intervals along parts of the northern coast, the Nile Delta, and the Red Sea governorate, the authority said.

Winds may become occasionally active over the northwestern coast, South Sinai, and southern Egypt during the period, with intermittent wind activity forecast across most parts of the country next Wednesday and Thursday.

In Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta, daytime temperatures are expected to reach 20–21 degrees Celsius, dropping to 13–14 degrees overnight.

The EMA advised residents to take precautions during early morning hours, particularly when driving in fog-prone areas between 3 am and 9 am.

Dense fog may at times affect roads linking northern governorates to Greater Cairo, as well as parts of central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, potentially reducing visibility.
