Cairo inaugurates ‘Ahlan Bel Eid’ Exhibition in Amireya

Ahead of the Eid Al-Adha Feast, the Cairo Governorate inaugurated the "Ahlan Bel Eid” exhibition at Sawah Square, located in the Amireya district. This exhibition, which runs from May 21 to June 5, is a collaboration between the Cairo Governorate and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade (Food Industries Holding Company). Spanning approximately 600 square meters, it is the largest exhibition in Cairo dedicated to selling udhiyah (sacrificial animals), as well as fresh and frozen meat, all under comprehensive veterinary supervision.

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber said the exhibition aligns with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to combat inflation, alleviate the burden on citizens, and provide essential goods at affordable prices.

Moreover, Saber said that the governorate has implemented several measures to mitigate the increase in meat prices ahead of Eid Al-Adha. These measures include the establishment of outlets selling fresh, local, and imported meat at affordable prices for low-income families. Additionally, the initiative provides frozen meat and poultry under the supervision of the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, the Directorate of Supply, and various districts in Cairo. These products are available at both fixed and mobile distribution outlets located in underserved areas, as well as through private sector outlets.

The "Ahlan Bel Eid” exhibition offers wholesale prices, with fresh meat starting at 250 EGP per kilogram. The exhibition features a variety of local meats, including beef and buffalo, Sudanese meat, and lamb, as well as frozen and processed meat products. Additionally, there is a dedicated section for selecting and reserving live sacrificial animals. To find the location of the exhibition, click here.
