The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned that temperatures will rise across the country starting next Saturday, ending the truce of mild summer weather.
The apparent temperature in Cairo is expected to reach 39C during daytime hours next Monday, rising to 45C in the governorates of southern Upper Egypt.
The EMA further warned of increased relative humidity, significantly influencing the severity of the hot weather.
The country is currently witnessing significant increases in relative humidity, extending to large areas of the country’s northern sector.
Humidity also contributes to the formation of mist during the late night and early morning hours on water bodies, agricultural lands, and open roads, with light fog.
