Egypt, Italy to sign protocols to launch 89 new applied technology schools

Minister of Education and Technical Education Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif received Dr. Giuseppe Valditara, Italy’s Minister of Education, at Cairo International Airport. Dr. Valditara is visiting Egypt to attend the signing ceremony for cooperation protocols between the two countries to launch 89 new applied technology schools across various specializations.

Minister Abdel Latif highlighted that the signing of several joint cooperation protocols, scheduled for tomorrow, will represent a significant advancement for technical education in Egypt.

The Italian Minister expressed his country’s deep appreciation for the notable progress Egypt has made in developing its technical education system in recent years. He praised Egypt’s strategic efforts to make technical education an attractive and effective pathway for skills development. He also commended the strong bilateral partnership and the success of joint projects, particularly the applied technology schools, emphasizing that the scale of progress reflects strong political will on both sides.

Both ministers affirmed that the Egyptian-Italian partnership in technical education serves as a regional model and that the coming phase will see continued collaboration to further enhance technical education and support the preparation of highly qualified technical personnel capable of competing locally and internationally.
